Dear friends,
There are some things that quietly become part of your life. A favourite coat. A familiar road home. A bag that goes with you to a hundred different places and somehow feels better with every journey.
For my husband Neil, making those bags has been his life’s work for 29 years. Long before a beautiful product photo or a special offer, there was a workbench, a piece of canvas, and the simple question he still asks himself: “Would I be proud to carry this?”
And if you know our boutique, Rose & Jamie, you know how much we care about pieces that feel personal. Neil and I have always built our worlds in different ways. Mine was about helping women find things they love to wear. His was about creating bags that would be there for the busy days, quiet weekends and unexpected adventures.
This Black Friday, those two worlds finally come together.
After 29 years, Neil is saying goodbye to his original canvas duffle designs. This is a meaningful decision for our family, and we wanted to share it with you personally rather than simply place another SALE sign in a shop window.
Our canvas duffles have always represented the things Neil believes in: practical shapes, thoughtful details, enduring style, and the beauty of materials that gain character over time. Whether it accompanies you on a weekend away, a trip to see family, or a new chapter in life, the right bag becomes more than something you pack.
So we're making this final collection available through our Rose & Jamie boutique for our Black Friday farewell. These are the original designs we're closing this chapter with. When they're gone, we don't plan to produce them again.
If one of these bags speaks to you, we would love for it to become part of your own story. And whether you choose one or simply read this note, thank you for being here for ours.
With all our love,
